N-HYPPADEC MOURNS FORMER KOGI GOVERNOR, IBRAHIM IDRIS, CONDOLES GOVERNOR USMAN ODODO.

 

The Management of the National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) has condoled with the Government and people of Kogi State over the death of the former Governor of the state, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, who died at the age of 77.

In a condolence message on Sunday, the Managing Director of N-HYPPADEC, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa, FCNA, FNIIS, FNIM, Katukan Yauri, described the death as a sad and painful loss to the deceased’s family, the people of Kogi State and Nigeria at large.

Alhaji Yelwa noted that the former governor, popularly known as “Ibro”, left indelible legacies in education, road infrastructure, human capital development and the water sector during his tenure as governor between 2003 to 2012.

The Managing Director sympathised with the Executive Governor of Kogi State, H.E. Alhaji Usman Ododo, the immediate family of the deceased and the entire Kogi State Council of Traditional Rulers over the loss.

He prayed to Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings, grant him eternal rest, and give his family, the government, and the people of Kogi State the fortitude to bear the loss.
