As today marks the 5th year in office of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA, the Honourable commissioner of Finance, Budget and Economic planning, discribed his mentor and principal as a leader that came on baord divinely when the confluence state was in dire need of reformation and rebuilding, saying he’s unarguably a purposeful and visionary leader, whose emergence had produced empirical results that separate the gory past to the flourishing present.
The commissioner notes that the new direction government led by His Excellency has given governance a face-lift from just been a positionally ego tripping to an ideological trajectory where the resources of the people is used for their collective good. With your projects, Programmes and policies, it’s seen and well proven beyond measure, you have always pitched tent with the people, by preferring solutions to their yearnings and challenges.
Mukadam Asiwaju said your spirited zest and enthusiastic spirit towards service to the people by uplifting their welfare and wellbeing has distinguished your leadership. He said GYB is a bridge builder and a Unifier who utterly destroyed the walls of religious disharmony, tribalism and class differences in kogi state. Today, we enjoy relative peace and unity as a people created to co-exist by God Almighty. It’s rare and an unprecedented feat in the annals of Kogi state.
As at today, your leadership has greatly improved the fiscal and financial outlook of the state for been transparent, accountable and sustainable in resources management. Year 2018 and 2019 the state was adjudged the best, meeting the SFTAS prerequisites and indicator 100% by meeting early budget passage, transparency in implementation and prudency in spending. All these was made possible by your purposeful leadership.
Needless to mention the strides accomplished in the area of security of lives and properties. Where a one time reknown kidnapping den had become a safe haven for both inhabitants and travellers, which has in turn rein in meritorious awards from reputable organisations. Your leadership midas touch made it possible Your Excellency.
The arrays of infrastructural development in the state is also a clear testament of the transformation you have engendered in the last 5 years at the saddle. Just recently, the NCWS decorated you a Goodwill ambassador for Nigerian women and also the most gender sensitive Governor in Nigeria. This speaks volume of your inclusive and democratic style of governance you run. Today, in kogi state you have raised the bar as regard women in leadership, empowerment and youth inclusion in the process of government. It’s novel and a great plus to the new direction government and your credentials, Asiwaju stated.
Your strides in the massive improvemnt in health sector, strong and courageous stand on positive policies that has placed our educational sector on a stable strides and Agricultural Renaissance is commendable and worthy of emulation applause.
Am sure, all these great and numerous achievements culminated to the clarion call from all quarters for His Excellency to replicate same uncommon wisdom and exemplary leadership at the National. It’s our strong believe, a new Nigeria will emerge with Governor Yahaya Bello as President Yahaya Bello.
As you forge ahead in the service of the people, I pray God Almighty will grant you the needed wisdom, understanding, wherewithal and sound health to further give hope to the hopeless and voice to the voiceless in kogi state and Nigeria as a whole.
