Mrs. Tokunbo Awoniyi, wife of former Kogi State Deputy Governor, Arch. Yomi Awoniyi has once again spread joy to children of Margaret Ohiani Orphanage home, Lokoja with her annual Christmas party.

This year’s celebration was particularly special, as it included the payment of school fees for one of the children who got admitted to Federal University Lokoja.

Mrs. Awoniyi used the occasion to encourage the children to stay focused on their studies, assuring them of a brighter future.

She also reiterated her commitment to improving the living standards of the children, providing for their upkeep, nutrition, and renovating the home when it is required.

The event, which has been ongoing for over a decade through her personal support, served as a platform for Mrs. Awoniyi to appeal to government at all levels, corporations, and individuals to support the orphanage.

She emphasized that the children’s circumstances are not their fault and that they deserve a chance to grow and become responsible citizens.

Mrs. Awoniyi, represented by Dr. Idowu Abu, expressed gratitude to the management, staff, and caregivers of the home for their dedication to the children’s well-being. The party featured gifts, clothing, and other essentials to make the children feel included and loved.
