In an effort to promote the production and consumption of mushroom through sensitisation and education of the Nigerian populace to showcase its nutritional, medicinal and economic value, the Mushroom Growers ,Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria (NAM-GP-MAN), has awarded Mrs Alor Florence Nkeiruka as the ambassador of the association.
Mrs Alor Florence Nkeiruka a staff of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism emerged as the winner in the mushroom cooking recipe competition held at the Exhibition Pavilion, Abuja during the first national mushroom week,2021.
Reacting to the honour accorded her by the association, Mrs Nkeiruka expressed her unreserved appreciation to the association for finding her worthy amongst other competitors ,saying the ambassadorial award bestowed on her will spur her to give stringent attention in promoting mushroom production , consumption and marketing in the country.
She further appealed to the association to give her all the necessary support to enable her carrying out her ambassadorial duties.
Earlier speaking, the President of the association Chief Michal Awunor commended all the competitors for proving their worth in mushroom cooking recipe and urged them to continue to promote the name of the association through mushroom meals and also tasked them to be good ambassadors of the association.
The contestants who were all members of the association came from various parts of the country.
