joshuaMonarch Hails Kogi Governor For Funding NG-CARES PROGRAMME.
A Monarch, His Royal Highness Ahmed O. Abdulraheem, the Ohi of Ihima has commended Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo for providing funding for the NG-CARES interventions in “hard to reach” rural communities in Kogi State describing it as first of its kind in the State.
The Monarch particularly praised Gov. Ododo for the 1.4 components that is being implemented by the Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency, described it laudable and well intended.
The Monarch made this revelation during an appreciation visit to the office of the General Manager of the Agency, Chief Dauda O. Momoh and praised the agency’s efforts in facilitating developments around his domain and hard to reach communities within Okehi LGA.
The Ohi of Ihima
described the intervention to provide social facilities in communities by the State Government through CSDA as a welcome development.
He particularly described as unprecedented the State Government efforts as heart rendering, by considering hitherto unreachable communities, adding that the intervention which also includes the vulnerable group of persons remains commendable.
The Monarch also lauded the Agency for empowering people with special needs, pointing out that it has emboldening the vulnerable class into boldness not minding their vulnerability.
The Monarch called for support for the Gov. Ododo administration , pointing out that it will enable him to sustain the good gesture he has begun in the State.
Responding, the General Manager re-echoed that the agency is presently intervening in the 21 LGA of Kogi State.
While analysing the projects spread in the State, the General Manager pointed out that the Agency ‘s project is planned to be of direct benefit to the large population of Kogi State when According to the him the Agency has planned to implement 80 Community and Group Development Plan comprising of a minimum of 2 Micro-Projects each.
The General Manager was grateful to the State Government for creating the partnership with the support of World Bank, said the partnership is aimed at reducing poverty in a sustainable manner.
