MINISTER OF WOMEN AFFAIRS VISITS TD AFRICA TO DISCUSS WOMEN EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVES

 

In a strategic move to foster collaboration on groundbreaking women empowerment initiatives, the Honorable Minister of Women Affairs, Barr. Uju Kennedy Ohanenye, paid a visit to TD Africa, one of the leading technology distributors in Sub-Saharan Africa, in Lagos State.

Barr. Uju was warmly welcomed by Mrs. Chioma Ekeh, CEO of TD Africa, and other senior executives. During the visit, the Minister outlined her ambitious plans to train young Nigerian women in three key areas: cybersecurity, data science, AI, and software development. These training programs aim to equip women with the essential skills to thrive in the rapidly evolving technology sector.

In response, Mrs. Chioma expressed TD Africa’s unwavering commitment to collaborate with the Ministry in providing accessible technology training and resources to young women across Nigeria.

The visit concluded with a tour of the TD Africa headquarters, where the Minister had the opportunity to gain insights into the company’s operations and its extensive range of technology solutions.
