Mines, Quarry Members Urge To Settle Dispute Amicably

Comrade Aliyu Adewale Mayungbe the inspector General of mines and Quarry of the union of Tipper and Quarry employers of Nigeria has adviced members of the Edo state chapter of the Union to endeavor to bring their complaints before the union.

 

Comrade Aliyu Adewale stated this in Benin, Edo state capital during the formal inauguration of the state chapter of the Union of Tipper and Quarry Employers of Nigeria, UTQEN,.

According to the national president, the union national administrative council is meant to saddled with the responsibility of receiving complaints from the Union branches concerning welfare issues and forward it to the appropriate quarters for resolution.

He said,” we have been informed by members of the Union about the challenges faced by UTQEN in Edo state, which has witnessed problems in drivers ways. By illegal tax collectors and miners in the state. But continue to maintain their position within the jurisdiction of authority vested to the Union .

He said, Today, Edo state chapter has also witness her second formal inauguration , and this is a remarkable event to the people of Edo state that this occasion shall bring government closer to the people working within quarry / mine industry in Edo state at large.

He advised operators in the industry to always bring their complaints to the union at any time as the National Administrative Council of the Union charged with the responsibility to look at matters from her branch Union and advice, direct or channel to the right quarters for the interest of our members.

According to him, the welfare of our members are paramount to the union bearing in mind that operators in the ministry are private business owners, who have the obligation to pay their required taxes to government and see how to recover his capital investment and make profit to take care of his family,” Adewale added.

In his goodwill speech, the Controller of Labour, Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment Edo state, Mrs. Olugbami Olutoyin, represented by Eghieye Augustine , Senior Labour Inspector Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment , Edo state, said every organization’s vision and mission rests on the capacity of the executive in driving the common details to achieving goals.

“Today you are electing a new crop of executive. | encourage all the delegates to conduct themselves in mature manners, following the guidelines of the electoral body; embrace collective interest for the growth of the union, and ensure @ hitch free election.

Responding on behalf of the newly elected executive, Edo state chairman of UTQEN, Comrade Gabriel Osagbovo said their new office is not for show but to lift the Union into a greater heights.

Comrade Osagbovo also appealed to those members they offended during their election and begged them to forgive them that election has come and gone.
