Mentorship: ANFS Honours Hajiya Rekiya


 

Hajiya Rekiya Onaivo Sanni, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Kogi Enterprise Development Agency (KEDA) has been presented with an award of excellence as “Hope of the Female Child” from the Association of Nigerian Female Students (ANFS) Kogi State Chapter during the association’s mentorship day which held in Lokoja on Wednesday, 14th December.


Hajiya Rekiya in a paper presentation on how to maximize entrepreneurship opportunity as a student, urged the participants to identify gaps and seek means to fill such by doing things that are uniquely different. KEDA boss emphasized the importance of building strong networks through recognition of people who can offer values and experience, attending networking events, industry conferences/seminars, going on internships and engaging positively on social media.

The paper concluded by charging the youth to learn skills in technology and other useful ventures. “Go out and make a difference by ensuring you stand out and stand up”, Hajiya Rekiya said.

The KEDA boss appreciated the organisers for the recognition while she gave a cash gift to the best student entrepreneur as part of her contribution to encourage and support entrepreneurship among students. She pledged to continue to contribute meaningfully to the growth of her community, state and nation at large.
