As Edo 2024 draws nearer, a governorship Aspirant, Ogbemudia Bassey Osagie who is based in Canada has promised to bring his experience to bear tackling insecurity issues particularly efforts aimed at solving the menace of cultism in Edo state if given the opportunity to rule.
Ogbemudia, who is a security expert with the Canadian government made the assurance in an interview he granted to The Nigerian Post.
In the interview, Ogbemudia gave definitions
of cultist as a member of a religious cult, type Of a person who accepts the leadership of another and a member of an unorthodox cult who generally lives outside of conventional society under the direction of a charismatic leader.
Ogbemudia who enumerated the consequences of cultism as Expulsion,Murder, Moral decadence, corrupts societal values,violence,spiritual problems ,breakdown of law and order, criminal tendencies which no citizen will tolerate said, “ as a special breed who has given himself out to serve & Service the good people of Edo state in the upcoming governorship election in Edo State, I will bring my experience when I come to office, and more so my closeness to security companies will be placed in use by collaborating with them to ensure that any form of insecurity in Edo State is eliminated fully.”
Ogbemudia who successfully arrested the issue of cultism in Toronto 10 years ago, said if he “can do that in another man’s Land why will he not do it in his mother’s Land, which is Edo State.”
Ogbemudia added that he is ready to replicate such a professional act to secure and protect Edo State . Cultism challenges must be dismantled in Edo State, so we must stop all type of Cultism act in the State.
“We can therefore, be very sure Ogbemudia will do everything to ensure that the youths are genuinely engaged with meaningful activities that can sustain them in their life time without engaging themselves in social vices any longer, “,@he concluded.
He said , “anti-cultism, anti-kidnapping, and cybercrime unit, in collaboration with the Edo State Security Network,will act on credible information gathering with the state government with a pool center to dismantle any criminal activities.”
Ahead Of the governorship election, No doubt that Ogbemudia Bassey Osagie is the most Competent, Preferable & Qualified Candidate for the governorship Election.
As your governorship aspirant, I am best prepared for the task ahead and I have a workable blueprint to operate with it.
