Meet An Iron Lady, Ifeoma Amaya, The First Female ADC To A Sitting Governor In Nigeria (PHOTOS)

Ifeoma Akaya, she is the first female Aide-de-camp in Nigeria, she is the ADC to Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello. Ifeoma, she is no stranger to the force because her father, Charles Akaya was also a commissioner of police. Approval for women to joined the Nigeria police force was in 1955 and their was only initial intake of only twenty of them, but today we are happy to see them progress in their career as a police.

 

 

The Nigeria Police, is the principal law enforcement and the lead security agency in Nigeria with a staff strength of about 371,800. The agency is currently headed by IGP Adamu Muhammed. The Nigeria police was first established in 1820. Yahaya Bello, is a Nigerian politician, businessman and the current Governor of Kogi State, he is a lover of sport and fitness, especially boxing.
