Management and staff of National Inland Waterways Authority have been asked to redouble their efforts towards justifying Government huge investment in the waterway Sector of the economy.
The Managing Director/CEO NIWA, Chief Dr. George Moghalu gave the charge at the 2021 end of year get together for NIWA staffers urged the staff to in the new year redouble their efforts at Revenue generation and in other best practices.
The MD promised to under his Leadership live NIWA better than he met it, tasked the staff to do same in ensuring best practices.
The MD charged the staff that to whom more is given more is demanded, assurred that efforts is on for a more robust salary incentives for the organization in the coming year, reason why they must strive to justify Government huge investment.
While pointing out that workers want better conditions of service, he tasked the Staff to improve on internally generated Revenue, do the right thing at the right time, and do what is expected for the organization to achieve result as a way of justifying Government huge investment in the Sector.
The MD reiterated the commitment of the Management to all that is needed towards motivating the staff and in improving their welfare.
While he challenged the staff to strive in achieving excellence in the coming year, the MD urged the staff to see NIWA as there property assurring that the Management will not shirk in its responsibilities, said he is ready to also do more in the coming year.
