By joshua MAJOR INFRASTRUCTURE MILESTONE: TINUBU/ODODO 2027 CONTINUITY SUPPORT GROUP HAILS PRESIDENT TINUBU OVER APPROVAL OF CRITICAL ROAD PROJECTS IN KOGI STATE
The Tinubu/Ododo 2027 Support Group has expressed profound appreciation to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the Federal Executive Council’s approval of two major federal road rehabilitation projects that will significantly transform the economic and social landscape of Kogi State, particularly Kogi West Senatorial District.
At the recent meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), approval was granted for the rehabilitation of the Ilorin–Omu-Aran–Egbe–Kabba–Obajana Road at the cost of N104 billion, as well as the Kabba–Omuo–Ifaki–Ado Road valued at N24.7 billion, among several strategic road projects approved across the federation.
The Support Group describes the landmark approval as yet another clear demonstration of President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to inclusive national development under the Renewed Hope Agenda, which continues to prioritize infrastructure as a catalyst for economic growth, improved security, regional integration, and national prosperity.
According to the group, the rehabilitation of these long-neglected federal roads will not only ease transportation for commuters and businesses but will also boost agricultural activities, enhance interstate commerce, attract investments, create employment opportunities, and improve the overall quality of life for the people of Kogi State and neighbouring communities.
The Tinubu/Ododo 2027 Support Group also commended the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for sustaining a cordial and productive working relationship with the Federal Government, which continues to attract meaningful development projects to the state. The group equally acknowledged the commitment of the Honourable Minister of Works, Senator Dave Umahi, for his visionary leadership and tireless efforts in driving the Federal Government’s infrastructure revolution across the country.
Furthermore, the group recognizes the invaluable contributions of distinguished sons and daughters of Kogi State, including elected representatives and critical stakeholders, whose collective engagements have continued to ensure that the state’s developmental needs receive the attention they deserve at the federal level.
The Tinubu/Ododo 2027 Support Group wishes to assure all Kogites that these road projects represent only a fraction of the numerous developmental initiatives that the Renewed Hope administration has in store for the state. With sustained collaboration between the Federal Government and the Kogi State Government, more democratic dividends in the areas of roads, education, healthcare, agriculture, youth empowerment, job creation, security, and economic development will continue to reach every part of the state.
