The Hon Commissioner for Water Resources in Kogi State, Hon. Abdulmumuni Danga has announced that there will be a disruption of water supply to lokoja and it environ owing to the discovery of a damaged major pipeline supplying water from the main source at the greater lokoja water works in ganaja to the major reservoir at the heart of the city.
The commissioner who decried the quantum of water being lost through the damaged pipe stated that the dry season is the only ample opportunity to fix it as the damage owing to the muddy nature of the location.
He said that the location would not be accessed during the raining season, regretted that the repair works on the pipeline would take five weeks in which there would be no water for the period and calls for understanding from members of the public.
