With the cessation of the rains, residents of Lokoja are groaning over water scarcity.
It would be recalled that for a period the taps have ceased to flow, thus causing untold hardship on the people.
The residents of Lokoja appeal to the Government to come to their aid following the cessation of the rains, begged for the urgent intervention of the State Government.
According to Musa Inuwa from Ganaja, the rain which used to be a source of help has stopped over a period, making it a harrowing experience for residents.
Also speaking, Madam Carolina Atusumbe, in 200 unit, lamented that the last few weeks has been a hectic experience, appeal for the intervention of the State Government.
Speaking on the matter, Lami Sunday, in cantonment, said with the dry season around the corner, efforts should be made to provide water to the people, to avoid water borne diseases.
Efforts to reach Hon. Abdulmumunin Danga, Kogi State Commissioner for Water Resources to comment on the water scarcity proved difficult as he could not be reached on his phone lines.
