Lokoja Politics: Why Ward A APC Stakeholders Elect Alhaji Aliyu Akaba as Chairman Stakeholders Leadership Forum
The advent of Governor Ododo’s administration ushers in a new era, necessitating balance and rejigging within organizations and systems. Just as our phone’s existing apps may function, software systems recommend updates for new features.
*Factors Contributing to Alhaji Aliyu Akaba’s Appointment
1. *Integration of New Members*: The Ward has welcomed new individuals from other parties, like PDP, and new appointees, requiring full integration into our working system.
2. *Alhaji Aliyu Akaba’s Credentials*: As Army Barrack’s community chairman and APC’s pioneer stakeholders’ chairman, Alhaji Akaba’s intellectual sagacity, grassroots mobilization capacity, and leadership abilities make him ideal. He’s also the current Chairman of Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN).
3. *Army Barrack and Otokiti Community’s Contribution*: This community has 12 polling units, delivering 11 out of 12 under Alhaji Akaba’s leadership. The community has one Ward Special Assistant position, facilitated through my influence.
4. *Balancing Appointments*: To alleviate tension and agitation from Army Barrack and Otokiti Shettima Community due to lack of appointment balance, the Ward A APC Stakeholders leadership deemed it wise to select the Stakeholders Leadership Forum Chairman from their axis, considering the fact that the former Chairman had served it’s term for 6 years and his tenure has ended with the administration of late Alhaji Muhammed Danasebe Executive Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Council.Moreso, that the former Chairman was removed abruptly due to sundries allegations.

Now, as a grassroots politician who wants your Governor and party to succeed in cosmopolitan Lokoja City Centre, if you’re in my position as leader of Ward A APC, is it wrong to have taken the Ward A APC Stakeholders Leadership Forum Chairman position to Lokongoma Barrack Otokiti Community Axis, given the appointment balance?
*Challenges and Leadership*
Some of my colleagues have frustrated my efforts for us to call meetings since we were appointed in the past 1 year, but are quick to unite when palliative comes.
However, if there’s anything meeting going on now, it’s a reaction from our July 5th 2025 maiden meeting, which i facilitated.

There’s no leadership vacuum in Ward A APC but perhaps anyone wants to contend with me ,our polling unit results for Governor Ododo will be the final determinant .
