New officiers have been elected to pilot the affairs of the Lokoja local government chapter of the All Progressives Congress in the next four years.
Those elected are Honourable Maikudi Bakure chairman(wardD),Zubaru Ndatsu Yakubu assistant secretary(wardE),Mohammed Dan isah assistant legal (ward B),Mohammed Abdullahi Assistant fin. Sec(ward A),Emma Egamana-organising sec(ward A),Mohammed Ademu PRO,Umar Faruk-Youth leader while the post of Women leader went to Shariatu Mohammed(Gana).
The election which was held at the Party’s Secretariat in Lokoja came in form of affairmative as all the elective officiers who held sway in the last four years were returned un-opposed expect that new executives were brought in to fill the vacant positions who exited it as a result of death, new appointments and leaving the party.
The epoch making ceremony also attracted the presence of the officiers from Independent National Election commission on observation mission,Men of the police force and other security outfits as well as eminent party’s supporters and staunch leaders.
In a speech at the occasion,the executive chairman of Lokoja local government,Ndasabe Mohammed intimated that all the executives returned to their various positions as a mark of a reward for loyalty ,dedication and hard work to the party.
The chief security officier of Lokoja local government area stressed that following a hitch free resolution reached at the ward levels new exco members were to be elected to fill the vacant positions which he posited were part of the party’s guidelines .
Ndasebe Mohammed urged the newly reconstituted party officiers to work assidously and show absolute dedication to duties in view of the task ahead.
In a post election speech, Honourable Maikudi Bature,Lokoja local government APC Chairman expressed gratitude to Governor Yahaya Ballo, the chairman of Lokoja LG ,Ndasebe Mohammed for the space provided for them to offer quality services to their communities and citizens insisting that the confidence repose in them would not be betrayed .
He assured that the new reconstituted executives under his watch would not hesitate to mobilize support for the Governor’s Presidential aspiration come 2023 ,as he has demonstrated capacity to deliver good governance to the citizens of Nigerians as exemplified in Kogi State.
Maikudi challenged other officiers to rally round his leadership to enable them collectively justify the mandate given them to serve noting that the party must continue to win in all the elections in the nearest future ,a task honourable Maikudu stressed must be accomplished.
