As the race for who represents Lokoja-Koto Federal Constituency at the Nigerian Green Chamber gathers momentum. The people of the federal constituency, Lokojans, Koto’s and Nigerians at large are increasingly becoming interested, in the choice that the people of the federal constituency will make in this coming election after the pronouncement of the electronic voting. The choice of those, elected to represent the various constituencies which constitutes the National Assembly, is an issue of interest to Nigerians, whenever the far reaching effects of their decisions on the existence of the average Nigerian, are considered.
The smell of victory and the taste of success are known to be sweet. In the forthcoming Lokoja-Koto federal constituency election in which Hon Idris Ndako , member representing Lokoja || constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly and his co-contestants of the All Progressives Congress APC will lock horns looking at the ‘Direct Primary’ position, it is becoming clear who the people of Lokoja-Koto constituency will vote for in the historic forthcoming election.
Among the people of Lokoja-koto generally, it is becoming obvious by the day that the legacies of the quality leadership, and representation enjoyed by the constituents, under Hon. Idris Ndako’s representation as House member must be sustained. This is a fact judging from the developments across every communities particularly as reflected in Lokoja ||
Curiously enough, some APC caucus advocating change, bringing forward aspirant, whose pedigree are not hidden to the public. Marketing such an imposition of aspirant to the people of the federal constituency at a time that Nigerians are faced with one of the most disappointing moment of our history, judging by the woeful performance.
Inadvertently, they have forgotten that Lokoja-Koto are not interested in their unrealizable act, being preached nor imposition of a aspirant.
To the people of the federal constituency, the APC will have to conduct itself and shows clearly that it does not lacks confidence.
Keen watchers of the forthcoming election campaigns have seen this lack of confidence in the ability of some aspirants who have already shown interest to maneuver there politicking to win Votes. This has been the trend but if care is not taken with due caution, imposing an aspirant will clearly shown that the APC and its candidate will be going no where in the forthcoming general election.
Indeed, the concern among the electorate and constituents in general is not that Hon Ndako and the APC will tain the Lokoja-Koto federal constituency seat, which will be vacated by the incumbent Member, but by what margin of victory, considering some scanty support of the PDP in Lokoja Local government constituting the constituency. Again, the reason and telltale signs are there for all to see.
The first is that Lokojans have successfully resented and resisted the desperation of PDP to hijack power in the State.
The PDP should know, that Lokoja-Koto is a predominantly APC state and the party, still in power and wield enormous power clout contrary to incumbent’s member lack of articulation and incoherence of ideas.
The message they seem to be passing to their surprised acquaintances is that they are back because the game is up and they know for certain that it is no business as usual in the corridors of power in Lokoja-Koto politics.
Electing Hon Idris Ndako as a Rep, will be a further affirmation of the trust of the people in his capacity to render selfless services, towards the collective aspirations of his constituents, and perhaps an appreciation of the Lawmaker, for his selfless service, as a state house of assembly member.
Such is the assurance of victory and joy among the people of Lokoja-Koto and they now only pray to God and for good health to see them through to the 2023 general election when they cast their ballot to elect Hon Idris Ndako as their next Rep Member.
