LOKOJA CHAPTER OF OGBOMOSO PARAPO ELECTS NEW OFFICERS.


 

A new officers to manage the affairs of the Lokoja chapter of Ogbomoso Parapo have been elected following a keenly contested poll.

Mr. Peter Ajape pulled 50-votes cast to defeat his close rival Mr.Sunday Ajala who scored 22-votes.

Mr.Gbenga Akeni was returned un-opposed as the General Secretary of the Association.

Mr.Sunday Adebukola scored 53 votes to beat Mr.Ezekiel Ajagbe with 19 votes to emerged as the Treasurer of the Association.

For the Post of the Publicity Secretary,Mr.Isaac Ajade got 38 votes to humbled his opponent Mr.Dayo Afolabi with 33 votes while Mr.Tunde Akonde was elected as the PRO-2 of the Association.

The newly elected chairman, Mr. Peter Ajape,in a post election speech expressed appreciation to all the delegates for finding him worthy to be accorded the privilege to lead them.

He promised to bring his bundle of human resource experience to bear by initiating viable ideals and projects that would consolidate on the several achievements of their predecessors .

While promising sons and daughters of Ogbomoso Parapo not to betrayed the confidence and trust bestowed on him ,Mr. Peter admonished them to rally round him by offering useful advices and put forward progressive suggestions that will bring socio-economic transformation to them.

He equally assured that his administration would soon set machinary in motion to bring all Ogbomoso Parapo sons and daughters under one roof stating that their objectives could only materialise if there are united and speak with one voice

In a brief remarked that the immediate past chairman of the Association,Chief Adeniyi Bamidele Gabriel described the election that brought in the new excos as credible and transparent.

He expressed implicit confidence that the new chairman and his executives will redouble effort to sustain the momentum of progress and and achievements Left behind during his tenure .

The retuning officer of the election, Mr.Omaola Moses Oladenyi informed that the election was held under a rancour free environment and the winners are products of electoral process.
