Local Government Election: NYCN Kogi Council Endorses All APC Candidates.
Ahead of the forthcoming Local Government Election in Kogi State slated for October 19, the State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria has endorsed the aspirations of all the candidates of All Progressives Congress.
The Council made the disclosure today shortly after an emergency meeting of the State Executive Council held at the Youth House, Lokoja.
The Council said the decision to endorse the APC candidates followed the style of leadership of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo, his recent appointments of all Local Government Chairmen of NYCN as Local Government Special Assistants and considering all that he has done for the youths in terms of appointments, resolved to support the APC Chairmanship Candidates across the State.
The Kogi State Chairman of the Council, Comr. Ben Jerry who spoke after the meeting said though the NYCN remains non partisan, it has directed all it members in the State, Local Government, Wards and down to the polling units to vote for the APC candidates.
The decision, Comr. Jerry said is to enable the Council continue to benefits more dividends of democracy from the present administration in the State.
” With the Gov. Ododo’s administration, having been youth friendly and has carried the NYCN along in all it policies and program, we have hereby endorse the candidates of the APC at all levels for the forthcoming Local Government Election”.
