The lawmaker, accompanied by his beloved wife, Chief Mrs. Esther Modupe, made the announcement during an empowerment program where he disbursed ₦10 million each to seven additional communities for grassroots development.
The latest disbursement brings the total number of communities that have received direct funding under the initiative to 12.
Speaking at the different communities visited, Abejide said the intervention is designed to ensure that every community in Yagba Federal Constituency benefits directly from impactful leadership and people-oriented governance.
“This program is not just a personal commitment to the welfare of the people, but also part of my continued support for the administration and leadership ideals of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.
“Our goal is clear: within the next four years, every community in Yagba land will receive at least ₦50 million to execute projects decided by the people to address the specific needs of their communities.”
He explained that the funds are intended to support community-based projects, improve local livelihoods, assist vulnerable residents, and stimulate economic activity at the grassroots level.
Abejide stressed that the success of the initiative depends on how judiciously the funds are utilized, adding that communities that demonstrate transparency and proper management stand to receive additional support as the money will be disbursed in tranches over the next four years.
