Ahead of November 6 governorship race in Anambra State,a leading aspirant on the podium of the ruling All Progressives Congress and the Managing Director of the National inland water ways Authority ‘NIWA’ Dr. George Morghalu has declared that Anambra State will observe rapid development by restoring confidence in the citizens through good governance if given the mandate .
Dr Moghalu who was one of the discusants of the symposium on security ,Youths and Women inclusiveness in governance hosted by Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State to mark his forty six birthday in Lokoja,told Newsmen that he has a well thought-out and articulated master plan which will soon be made available to Anambra people of his focus to the state.
The NIWA Managing Director and Governorship hopeful who will be contesting the Party’s primary alongside other aspirants ,expressed explicit confidence of picking the party ticket.
Dr Moghalu maintained that attention would be given to security, education,health ,agriculture, and empowering the citizens through economic activities
While contributing at the symposium, Morghalu argue that Youths around the globe are veritable tool which could bring transformational changes to society through their contributions .
‘There is the need to differential between youth particularly based on the various categories ,their age and their state of minds asserting that the preferred Youths are the ones which state of minds were advanced and would be productive whenever he or she are opportune for leadership”’.
The governorship hopeful identified Family unit as a foundation for any societal advancement asserting the fact that whatever happens in the society today were by-products of the families.
Dr Morghalu regretted that the reported happenings in the country like insurgency, banditry,kidnapping, highways robbery,cultism, and other sundry issues bedeviling the communities are products of the families ,hence the need for proper upbringing of children to obey constituted Authorities and follows the norms of the society.
He lauded Governor Yahaya Bello for his administration” pragmatic approach of the inclusion of Youths and Women in the leadership of the Kogi state adding that through his actions the youths attention had been diverted to profitable ventures.
