Late Obadofin’s Funeral Service Holds Friday, 28 in Kabba

The Church Outing and Thanksgiving Service of His Royal Majesty, Oba Oladele Michael Yusuf, the Obadofin of Oweland who died recently will hold this Friday, 28th April, 2023 at St Andrews Cathedral Church Kabba , Kogi State by 10am.

This was contained in a statement signed and made available to newsmen in Kabba by the
President-General of Kabba Development Union (KDU), Engr. Emmanuel Ajibero.

The statement disclosed that the funeral program will commence on Thursday, 27th April with a night of tribute at the Monarch’s palace in Agomo Quarters, Kabba metropolis by 4pm, adding that the Kogi State’s chapter of Gospel Musician Association of Nigeria (GOMAN) will be on stage to perform.

According to the statement, the church outing and thanksgiving service will come up at the St Andrews Cathedral Church Kabba by Friday, the following day.
The monarch was the Treasurer of the Cathedral for many years before he ascended the throne of his forefathers in 2013.

The statement further disclosed that immediately after the church service, all guests will be entertained at the Kabba Township Stadium where Ade Smart Band will be on stage to bid the outstanding monarch fair well to enternity, stressing that the monarch will be remembered by the community for his peaceful disposition in resolving crisis and issues of importance in the community.

In the statement, Ajibero described the late Oba Oladele Yusuf as a rear gem and iconic personality that displayed Solomonic wisdom during his reigns, pointing out that Ilemila royal family and indeed Owe/Okun nation will miss him,just as he prayed that the vacuum he left behind will not be difficult to fill.

The late monarch has since been buried according to Owe traditional culture.

He is survived by his wife and children.
