The District Head of Gwari Babba,Yusuf Ibrahim has refuted the submission made by the Àuthor of a book tittle The history of lambata -Bonu written by Umar Yusuf, which in the book claim that lambata is under Bonu District.
The District Head of Gwari Babba, Yusuf Ibrahim in an interview said that the information provided by the Àuthor Umar Yusuf is grossly misleading and baseless capable of misinforming other authorities in believing that lambata belongs to Bonu despite all evidences by the elders of the neighbouring villages.
He reiterated further that the book is a fairly tales and efforts are under way to counter every bits of the information in the book with documentary evidences.
The Hakimin Gwari Babba lamented on the attitude of the Àuthor saying that “a serious person who wants to write a book on History of a community supposed to consult the stakeholders or the traditional institution for clarification,”I as the Head of the community was not informed which I suppose to have made my own inputs before publication”. adding that the book did not received the blessings from the leaders of the two communities.
The District Head Yusuf Ibrahim mentioned that already there is white paper from the Executive Governor of the state covering the boundary dispute and must be respected and whoever is in disagreement with the white paper can challenge it in the Court of law.
The District Head of Bonu, Mallam Ibrahim Baba Shaba in a separate interview distance himself from the said book and that is the reason he didn’t attend the book launching because he was not consulted for any blessings before the publication.
He advised yourths in the area to be law abiding citizens and always respect the traditional institution.
The District Head of Bonu Mallam Ibrahim Baba Shaba argured that,there has never been time lambata was under Bonu District, adding that the two villages are in different district’s and each village with it own District Head.
According to him lambata is under Gwari Babba district with it’s own District Head, and Bonu has it own District Head which am the person,so people saying lambata is under Bonu District are just trying to be mischievous and the statement is baseless.
In an interview with one of the oldest Woman in Lambata whose Father happened to be the first male setler of Lambata by name kaka Amina Umaru who is over seventy five years,in her contribution says that father was not the founder of Lambata and that her father was hosted by the younger brother of Abdulsafur Lambata.
She mentioned that when bonu people were migrating from the villages most especially from Bonu,her father use to allocate land to them free to build.
Kaka Amina called on the migrants of Bonu residing in Lambata to live in peace and not to hit up the system with unnecessary lies.
The District Head of Tufa in an interview said that Tufa share boundary with Gwari baba,Lapai local government and federal capital Territory and have been enjoying relatively peace in the area.
