Kwara: Tompolo Deploys 34 Vehicles for Tinubu’s Re-election, Urges APC Sweep

The Grand Patron of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, has deployed 34 campaign vehicles to Kwara State to support grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, who was represented by the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services, Chief Kestin Pondi, at the inauguration of the Kwara State chapter of the movement in Ilorin on Thursday, urged residents not to be deceived by political opponents but to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) across all elective positions in the 2027 general elections.

Pondi said the vehicles were provided to strengthen the movement’s campaign activities and promote Tinubu’s policies and political vision across communities in the state.

He called on the electorate to vote for APC candidates from the Presidency to the National Assembly, governorship, House of Assembly and other elective positions, arguing that Tinubu needs strong legislative support to advance his administration’s policies.

“His message to Kwara State is simple. He said that we should not allow ourselves to be deceived. He said that we should ensure that we do the right thing,” Pondi said, conveying Tompolo’s message.

He stressed that APC candidates at other levels of government must also be elected to facilitate the implementation of the administration’s programmes.

According to him, a supportive National Assembly and state legislatures would help advance policies intended to improve security, infrastructure, healthcare and education.

“If we want better roads, we need to vote for Tinubu. If we want a better health sector, we need to vote for Tinubu. If we want a better educational system, we need to vote for Tinubu,” he said.

Explaining the purpose of the inauguration, Pondi said the Kwara chapter is expected to take the campaign to the grassroots through door-to-door engagement and outreach to markets, churches, mosques and communities across the state.

He said the 34 campaign vehicles would support the dissemination of Tinubu’s policies and encourage voters to support the president and the APC in the next general election.

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, during his remarks congratulated the newly inaugurated executives of the movement and urged them to see their positions as a responsibility entrusted to them by the people.

The governor charged the executives to communicate honestly with residents, listen to their concerns and provide feedback to the appropriate authorities.

AbdulRazaq also cautioned the group against violence and defamation, urging members to respect others and conduct their political activities responsibly.

“We’re not here for violence and defamation. Respect everyone you can see,” the governor said.

He further called for cooperation between the movement and existing APC structures, from the national level to communities across Kwara State.

Also, the APC governorship candidate in Kwara State, Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Saliu, expressed confidence in the party’s prospects ahead of the 2027 general elections, declaring that the state remained firmly behind Tinubu.

Describing the inauguration as part of a wider national mobilisation effort, Danladi-Saliu said the movement was taking its activities across the country to strengthen the party’s grassroots presence.

“This is not just an inauguration of PBAT Door-to-Door. We are going round the country, and we are here in Ilorin, Kwara State. We are at home. Tinubu is for Kwara, Kwara is for Tinubu,” he said.

The National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Hon. Sunday Adekanbi Asuku, also called on residents of Kwara State to mobilise in large numbers and vote for Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Asuku cited the payment of salaries by state governments and the absence of university strikes as developments he attributed to Tinubu’s administration, urging voters to support the president for another term.

He said he understood the effects of industrial action in the university system, having experienced disruptions caused by strikes by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

“I am a product of ASUU strike, and I know what it means. All thanks to Mr President,” he said.

Asuku urged eligible voters to obtain and use their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), stressing that participation in the election was necessary to demonstrate support for the president.

The inauguration of the Kwara State chapter forms part of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement’s nationwide mobilisation efforts aimed at strengthening grassroots support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
