Dr Folorunso Zubair Erubu , who was recently kidnapped while on his way to Ago-Oja, Asa Local Government Area of Kwara state eight days ago, has been released by his abductors.
Meanwhile, the kidnappers had demanded N60m ransom.
Funsho Erubu, a medical doctor, is also the Magaji of Erubu , Ilorin.
Dr Erubu, however, retired as Permanent Secretary in the state a few years ago
Spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force in Kwara state, Ajayi Okasanmi, a Superintendent of Police, who issued a brief statement about the development on Thursday which was made available to newsmen in Ilorin said “The victim of the kidnap incident that took place on the 9/12/2021 at Afon area of Ilorin, Dr Folorunso Zubair Erubu has been released this morning, after days of thorough search and rescue operation directed by the commissioner of police, CP Tuesday Assayomo.
The release was made possible through the cooperation of his family members , the Community and other security stakeholders, vigilante and hunters.
