Chairman, Board of Trusstee Chairman, Kogi State University Alumni Association, Mr Richard Oguche has warned the new executives against personal interests.
Mr Oguche handed down the warning at the inauguration of the new officials in Lokoja.
He noted that the Alumni was an opportunity to unite and work for the progress of their Alma mata and welfare of members.
According to the BOT chairman, the new executives are expected to reawaken the consciousness of members in a bid to contributing their quota to the growth of the University.
Mr Richard congratulated the new officials for emerging victorious and promised to sustain synergy for the attainment of set goals.
Also speaking, some of the past Chairmen of the Alumni and the Chairman of Electoral Committee, Barrister Onuche Oyibo urged the new leadership of the Alumni to see their election as a call to service by being focused.
In his inaugural speech, the new President of KSU Alumni Association, Honourable Otumba James Erikiti promised to ensure team work, saying he will not be detracted by anyone.
Honourable Erikiti expressed appreciation to the BOT chairman, the outgoing president and other stakeholders for finding him fit for the position.
The President appealed for the cooperation of members in view of the challenges facing the Association, adding that leadership was a collective responsibility.
Others elected are Prince Muhammed Usman vice president, Ogwu Ukwubile Acho Secretary General, Oludami Stephen Assistant Secretary General, Yahaya Musa Financial Secretary and Barrister Felix Okolo as Legal Adviser.
The rest include Doctor Sunday Paul National organizing secretary, Ali Enejoh Assistant Organising secretary, Alhaji Yakubu Shaibu welfare officer, Benita Onuh national women leader, Ajih Sam Oforachi Internal Auditor, Adejoh Israel Santos National Treasurer and Samuel Atuluku as national Publicity Secretary.
