KSU Alumni inaugurate electoral committee to elect new Excos


 

A five man electoral committee has been inaugurated by the National Executive Kogi State University Alumni Association to allow for the election of new excos.

Members of the committee includes, Ahmed Mohammed, (Chairman), Mrs Christiana Daiko, (Women representative), Yusuf Asipita, (Kogi central), Icheja Peter, Secretary East, and Isaac Puke.

 

Inaugurating the committee on Wednesday in Lokoja, the National Vice President, Kogi State University Alumni Association
Mallam Ibrahim Yahaya, charged the committee to conduct a credible, transparent, free and fair election that would be acceptable by all the alumni of the association both home and abroad.

Yahaya noted that the body had been known for their integrity in the discharge of their duties assuring that they would get the needed support to conduct an hitch free polls.

The National President Vice of KSU Alumni while giving the committee four weeks to execute the task ahead lauded the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Marietu Ohunene Tenuche for her unflinching support towards moving the body to a great height among comity of organizations in the country.

In his acceptance speech, the Chairman of the electoral committee Mr Ahmed Mohammed appreciated the association for seeing them worthy to conduct the exercise assuring that his committee would conduct and election that will reflect the will of the electorates.

Highpoint of the event includes oath taking by the newly inaugurated committee, presentation of KSU Alumni Association Constitution, among others.

The event was attended by prominent personalities from the three senatorial district of Kogi State.
