To further demostrate the patriotic and progressive ideology of our great party APC, coupled with Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello’s inherent spirit of love and compassion openly exhibited numerous times, which in turn, naturally flows through his ardent followers, Kogi west appointees and elected officials under the new direction administration made the difference by being exemplary in giving succour and hope to the needy in the society.
Sequel to the cheering news of safe delivery of a triplet to an economically disadvantaged family from ponyan in Yagba East Local Government Council, the elected officials and appointees both at the state and local council wasted no time to replicate the large heartedness and magnanimity of their leader and principal, His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello by standing up to salvage the situation as regard the wellbeing and welfare of the triplets.
Barrister Babatunde Irukera whose milk of kindness flows ceaselessly, also contributed towards the noble course of service to humanity. After self tasking and subsequent sacrifices by all the elected and appointees across board, the sum of One million and forty-eight thousand naira was raised.
Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA , the Honourable commissioner of Finance, Budget and Economic planning, who coordinated the contribution process has since handed over the amount to the family of the triplets. He profusely appreciated all government officials that contributed to these noble cours, especially the Secretary to the state Government, Dr(Mrs) Ayoade Arike Folashade who had earlier led women group to donate food items, beverages, clothes and toiletries to the family.
In response to the profound show of love and gesture by Kogi west APC appointees and elected, ponyan people through their traditional institution, Ponyan development association and by extension the family of the triplets has since expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the GYB led New direction administration and Kogi west appointees for acting as a gracious interventionist when help is seriously needed. It’s a hand of fellowship that has further endeared the progressive party into the heart of entire ponyan community, they stated.
They promised to stay more committed and supportive to the APC and Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello administration in her quest to build a better and greater Kogi state.
