Kogi Students Congratulate Ogbo, Avidime, and Ibileye on Assumption of Office

The National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS) has congratulated Professor Usman Ogbo Salisu, Professor Salihu Sunusi Avidime, and Professor Gbenga Solomon Ibileye on their appointments and assumption of office as Vice Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, and Vice Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, respectively.
In a press statement issued in Abuja on Monday, the National President of NAKOSS, Comrade Sunday Adeola Simon, described the appointments as well-deserved and timely, noting that the trio are seasoned academics whose leadership will usher in renewed confidence, stability, and progress in the state’s tertiary education system.
Comrade Adeola commended the relevant authorities for appointing tested and capable hands to steer the affairs of the institutions, expressing confidence that the new leadership will build on the legacies of their predecessors while introducing reforms that strengthen academic standards, infrastructure, and student welfare.
He further reaffirmed the readiness of the Kogi State students’ community to work closely with the new administrations in fostering peaceful campuses, promoting academic excellence, and advancing student welfare across the institutions.
“These appointments represent a fresh opportunity to reposition our tertiary institutions for greater relevance and global competitiveness. We are confident that your leadership will inspire reforms that prioritize academic excellence, discipline, and innovation. The Kogi State students’ community stands ready to partner with your administrations to build campuses that nurture excellence and produce graduates who can compete favorably anywhere in the world,” he stated.
The National Association of Kogi State Students once again congratulated the new principal officers and wished them successful tenures marked by impactful leadership, inclusive governance, and sustainable development.
