RESCUE THREE ABDUCTEES, NEUTRALIZE KIDNAPPERS IN KABBA-BUNU LGA.

The Kogi State Vigilante Service says
on 9th October, 2025 at about 1640 hours, in the adjacent forest of Suku village, Kabba- Bunu LGA, KSVS personnel rescued three(3) abductees from armed bandits after a gruelling gun battle.

According to a statement issued by Idris S. Idris, Public Relations Officer,
For Controller-General, KSVS, in a three hour successful operation, sequel to initial intelligence about forceful snatching of unspecified number of motorcycles from some local commercial cyclists by suspected armed bandits between 1200- 1315 hours in Suku village.
According to the statement, KSVS became incensed when reports of
abduction of an unspecified number of people in the same area by motor cycles’ snatchers got to its higher command, prompting rapid mobilisation for additional logistics and synergy with hunters to facilitate quick tracing of suspected routes inside the adjoining bushes, by combing of forest and ambush laying by the combined team.
According to the Statement, the outlaws ran out of luck when the vigilantes and hunters, already placed in vintage positions, engaged the criminals in gun duel, killing three(3) of them, while few escaped into the forest with various degrees of gun shot wounds.
“The three (3) abductees were made to regain instant freedom, nfortunately, one of the hunters sustained bone fracture during the operation, is currently responding to treatment in a medical facility in Kabba”.
Reacting to the incident, Comptroller General KSVS, Alhaji Sani Omeiza Ibrahim (fsi+) Director SSS (Rtd) described the scenario as a tip of ruthlessness in security enforcement, which he said his agency will henceforth be applying to all criminals, especially bandits and kidnappers in Kogi State.
The CG hailed Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his support and encouragement to all security agencies providing peace and safety for lives and property across kogi state.
