Kogi State NECO Coordinator commends Gov. Ododo on appointment of responsive persons into key positions, praises Onuh Edoka for keeping to promise

Kogi State Coordinator of National Examination Council, NECO, Mr Thaddeus Ajabu has praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for appointing responsive persons into key positions under his administration.

Mr Ajabu gave the commendation when the Special Adviser on Labour matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka visited the office to pay for the fifty pupils scheduled to write the gifted examination this month.

He noted that the fulfillment of promise by the Special Adviser on Labour matters, paying for fifty pupils to write the gifted examination was highly commendable, explaining that it shows that Governor Ododo is doing well.

“You can see that every body is happy, workers are happy, business owners are happy, this is to say that Governor Ododo is doing greatly and deserves accolade for changing the narrative”, he remarked.

The State NECO Coordinator expressed delight on the positive development, stressing that with the development, a new centre will be created at Ogugu in Olamaboro Local government area for Kogi East.

“For the first time, a centre for the gifted examination is being created in Ogugu in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi East through the exemplary commitment of the Special Adviser on Labour, Comrade Onuh Edoka who has kept to his promise and has paid for the fifty pupils he earlier promised”, Ajabu stated.

Earlier, Comrade Onuh Edoka, while presenting Cheque to Kogi State Coordinator of National Examination Council, Mr Thaddeus Ajabu in the NECO office, said he was fulfilled to have kept to his promise.

He acknowledged the importance of education in all human endeavors, stressing that the gifted school was to address the economic challenge of brilliant children whose parents do not have the capacity to bring them up educationally.

The Special Adviser maintained that the measure was to also give back to the society, saying the task of education required collective responsibility.

He explained that the pupils would be selected from the three wards in Olamaboro Local government area, assuring of more efforts to advance the course of education in the area.

“It is important to note that educating children is key if we must move forward as a people, this is because education is key and the light that shows the way”, Edoka stated.

He urged well to do individuals and corporate bodies to assist the less privileged in the society whose children are brilliant, but incapacitated financially, thereby giving such children and parents hope of a better future.

Comrade Edoka expressed appreciation to the new state Coordinator of NECO for creating awareness on the gifted school and expressed optimism that more personalities would key in such sponsorship.

The gifted examination is slated for thirty first of May, 2025.
