
Kogi State Council of Ulamau Holds Expanded State Executive Official meeting, charges Muslims on need to engage in good works

The Kogi State Council of Ulamau, has charged Muslim Ummah on the needs to engage in good works since no one knows where his/her Jannah lies and when he will exit this world.
The State Chairman and the Vice, Kogi State Council of Ulamau in their respective speeches at the expanded State Executive Official meeting charged Muslims to wake up to the cause of Allah SWT and follow His Divine injunctions and the leadership of those in authority. They also enjoined on the need to love one another.
Special prayers was offered for deceased members of the Council and some individuals that died during the period under review which includes; the Maigari of Lokoja HRH Alh. Muhammed Kabir Makaigri III, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, HRM Alh. Ado Ibrahim, the Baba Adini of Okunland — Alhaji Abdulrasaq Ajidaun as well as A!haji Muhammed Sanni Ahmed Ododo, the late father of His Excellency, Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo, Executive Governor of Kogi State.
Special prayers were offered in respect of crises, kidnapping, robbery, banditry and other forms of insecurity in some parts of the state, particularly, the Bassa Kwomu and Yagba West LGAs as well as the Nation in general.
The Council of Ulamau appreciated the goodwill, moral cum financial support of the government to the faith based organization in the state in promoting peaceful coexistence amongst the citizenry.
Council prayed that Almighty Allah continue to guide, direct, support and strengthen the Governor/Government in the State to remain focused for more successes and accomplishments.
The Council appeals fervently to the State Government to take over Quran Recitation Competition at the State and National level as it is done in other part of the country.
