The Interim Executive Members of Kogi State Chapter of the Abia Welfare Association has been constituted with a charge to take the Association to the next level of development.
A pioneer member and immediate past President of the Association, Engineer Prince Lucky Adindu gave the charge while addressing the newly appointed executive members of the Association in Lokoja.
Prince Adindu said the appointment of the Excos members is a Clarion call to serve Abians in Kogi State and advised them to generous towards realising the objectives of the Association.
He said the association which earlier has seven members has witnessed a steady growth overtime and has become a formidable association in Kogi State.
He urged the interim Executive Members to be good ambassadors of Abians, emphasising that their election which should have been held last year was delayed as a result of d Covid 19 pandemic.
He also appealed to members of the Association to be loyal to the Government of the day and other constituted authorities.
In a remark, the newly appointed President of the Association, Mr Nwankwo Chimezie expressed appreciation to members for finding him worthy to spearhead the affairs of the Association.
He promised to do his best in moving the Association forward, particularly in developing the piece of land that it has acquired.
Also speaking at the event, the newly appointed secretary of the Association, Mr Collins Okoro, urged Abians in the state to the support the new Excos and promised to justify the confidence reposed in him.
Others appointed members include; Uche Okorie and Samuel Godwin.
