Kogi State Carol Service, Festival of Praise Draws Thousands, Unites Faithful in Worship and Prayer.
LOKOJA — The Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre in Lokoja was transformed into a vibrant hub of worship and gratitude as Christians from across Kogi State gathered for the 2025 Carol Service and Festival of Praise.
Organized by the Kogi State Government, the event attracted top officials, clergy, and believers from diverse denominations, all uniting to thank God and pray for peace and progress in the state.
The Secretary to the Kogi State Government, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade, affirmed that the annual program has become a permanent fixture, fostering unity among believers. She thanked Christians for their prayers and support for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration and pledged continued promotion of religious harmony for lasting peace and development.
In his remarks, the State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Senior Apostle Adebayo Olaniyan, urged congregants to pray fervently for the safety of those kidnapped in Ejiba and for overall peace in Kogi. He also expressed CAN’s full support for the current administration and commended Mrs. Ayoade as a “humble goal‑getter” for bringing believers together.
The program featured powerful performances by renowned gospel artistes, including American screenwriter‑producer Chris Morgan, the Kogi State Mass Choir, Victoria Obaja, and Lord Bishop, whose songs resonated deeply with the worshippers.
The event underscored the collective resolve of Kogi’s Christian community to uphold prayer, unity, and gratitude, setting a tone of hope and solidarity as the state moves forward under Governor Ododo’s leadership.
