The fiftieth birthday of Doctor Victor Alewo Adoji an astute politician, business mongul and philantropist was yesterday celebrated in pomp and ceremony in Lokoja.
The event which was attended by a large crowd of the celebrants Associates , friends, relations and admirers saw the public presentation of a book titled “Doctor Victor Alewo Adoji at fifty “( DVAA@50).
In an opening remark at the event the younger brother of the celebrant and former Commissioner of youths and sports Development in kogi state Mr.Arome Adoji described the event as unique in many respects.
He told the guests that the event was organized to honor his elder brother who was unavoidably absent due to a trip abroad.
According to him,on the arrival of his brother to Lagos,his friends and associates held him back for another birthday celebration.
He described Doctor Victor Alewo Adoji as one of Igala finest who deserves to be celebrated.
According to him, the celebrant is a man given to philantrophic activities with love of God and humanity.
He said the intellectual giant has the heart for the good of Igalaland and beyond and urged everyone to pray for him.
The book reviewer and vice Chancellor of Salem University Lokoja professor Alewo Akubo described the celebrant as a man he respects so much for his leadership qualities.
According to him, Doctor Victor Alewo Adoji always ensures to bring to a logical conclusion anything he does.
Taking a quotation from the Bible,he said the power of life and death lies in the thong.
While congratulating the author comrade Maximilian Tashilani for putting together the various speeches of Doctor Victor Alewo Adoji he took a look of the book from four components which he said include religious, service to humanity, leadership and political components.
According to him, the book traverses every area of life and urged guests to read it.
Professor Alewo Akubo noted that the book analyzes the leadership credentials and qualities of Doctor Victor Alewo Adoji.
The author and compiler of the speeches of Doctor Victor Alewo Adoji comrade Maximilian Tashilani in a remark noted that the passion to put the book together grew out of the desire to put the intelligent words of the celebrant on marble for the benefit of generations .
He explained further that Doctor Victor Alewo Adoji is a professional turned politician who has revolutionary ideas that can’t be washed away.
According to him, the celebrants dept of knowledge and intelligence is awesome and congratulated him on the special occasion of his birthday.
In a goodwill message, Ahmed Suleman and Alfa Ebune, described Dr. Adoji as a blessing to his generation, described him as a man who will in the future Serve as a rallying point for people of Kogi East and the State in general.
Highlights of the event was the unveiling of the book, Goodwill messages and the cutting of the birthday cake.
