In the heart of Kogi’s public education system, one name is fast becoming synonymous with reform, discipline, and result-driven leadership: Hajia Habitat Suleiman, Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Senior Secondary Schools Board.
Since her assumption of office, Hajia Habitat has brought uncommon vision, compassion and administrative excellence to the Board as envisioned by Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo. Established to manage public secondary schools, the Board’s core mandate of hiring and training teachers, distributing funds, providing infrastructure and enforcing standards has found new energy under her watch.
It is without mincing words that the administration of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo has made the rebuilding and modeling of secondary schools across the State his top priority.

Under her leadership, training and retraining programs for teachers have been prioritized because, to her, “the quality of a nation is determined by the quality of its teachers.” Transfers and promotions are now handled with greater transparency, while discipline is applied fairly to protect the integrity of the system.
In financial management, Hajia Habitat has instituted prudence and equity. Government allocations are distributed to ensure no school is left behind, while resources for textbooks, laboratory equipment and ICT tools are being channeled to where impact will be greatest.
