Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Prince) Matthew Kolawole has received the devastating news of the demise of the mother of Alhaji Jibrin Momoh, Kogi State Accountant General whose death occured in early of today at the aged of 78.
The Speaker who sympathized with the Accountant General over the demise of his mother, noted that it is painful to lose a loved one especially the vessel through which God brought him to the world, stressing that it is a bitter pill to swallow.
He said though he did not have the opportunity to know or interact with her while he was alive but the good account given by others about him showed that she was a virtuous woman who trained her children in the way of the Lord, no wonder one of his offsprings is now State Accountant General who is contributing meaningfully to the overall development of the state.
He urged the family to take solace from the words of God which says there is time to be born and time to died, noting that every mortal at one time or the other, will surly died when the time comes.
It is on this note that the Speaker on behalf of his family, Kabba/Bunu State Constituency, members of the 7th Assembly, management and staff of the Kogi State House of Assembly wish to commiserate with the entire family over the death of their mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Hajia Hajara Momoh.
May her soul rest in peace
Femi Olugbemi,
Chief Press Secretary to the Honourable Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly
