Kogi Solid Minerals Ministry to Begin Sensitization visit across Mining sites, companies

 

Kogi State Ministry of Solid Minerals and Natural Resources is to begin a sensitization visits across Mining sites and companies across the State.

The Team lead for the visit and sensitization will be led by the Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Bashiru Gegu and Coordinated by the Permanent Secretary.

The Commissioner disclosed that the visit aim at collecting data of Mining Companies domiciled in the state for the enhancement of revenue generation as well as to monitor, minimize and help in curbing illegal mining.

The Commissioner made the disclosure today after a Management meeting of the Ministry, urge companies to take note of unauthorized person or persons that will be coming to their domain on behalf of the Government and the Ministry.
