Kogi State sector command of the Federal Road Safety Commission [FRSC[ has reiterated its resolution to work in agreement with the members of the Association of Master bakers and Caterers of Nigeria [AMBCN] kogi State chapter to enable them operate unhindered in their businesses.
The commission has equally tasked the Association to produce a special tag to be placed on their operational vehicles to differentiate them from other breads manufacturers to prevent the supply into the state unhygenic products.
The kogi State sector Commander of the corps, Mr. Samuel Oyedeyi gave the explicit renewal of hope when the members of the Association led by its state chairman, high Chief Adeniyi Bamidele Gabriel paid an advocy visit on the Authorities of the commission at their state headquarters office in Lokoja, the state capital.
Describing the bakery and Caterering profession as critical to the survival of any family asserted that bread has become common and generally acceptable food for all catigories of the citizens.
Mr. Samuel Oyedeyi admonished the visiting group to cultivate the culture of obeying traffic rules and regulations as they drivers and vehicles plying roads to deliver their products have nothing to be affraid of.
As the yalutide season draws faster, the commission gave every assurance of the readiness of the ranks and files of the command to quarateed the safety of road users and commended the Association of Master bakers and Caterers of Nigeria, kogi State chapter for its previous support to the activities of the commission and appealed that it is sustained.
In a welcome speech,the state chairman of Association,high Chief Adeniyi Bamidele Gabriel intimated that they were in the office of the state sector Commander to seek for areas of collaboration with the command to fast track their activities in the state.
As a major employer of labor in the state , Chief Adeniyi Bamidele Gabriel implored Mr. Samuel Oyedeyi to use his vast networks and connections to help the Association to tackle some of its challenges ranging from soft loan, prevent the influx of breads from other States, multiple taxation, and the increment in the price of baking materials among other too numerous to mention.
”The commission efforts in the angle of immediate response during road accidents ,staff sincerity of purpose in which they handle roads victims and the properties discovered are most commendable and appreciated”.Adeniyi maintained.
