The Social Democratic Party (SDP) Kogi State Chapter held its State Executive Council Meeting on Wednesday March 16th, 2022 in Lokoja the State Capital with (41) Forty One Party stakeholders across they (3)Zones and Twenty One (21) Local Governments in attendance.
The SEC received the
resignation letter from Alh. Moukter Atimah through Hon. Umar J. Bello Okehi LG Chairman and Hon. Zubair Ibrahim Oyiwe the Central Zonal Chairman respectively.
His reasons were clearly stated and well understood by the SEC, after some hours of deliberation, his resignation was unanimously approved and the Zonal Chairman from the Central Senatorial District Hon. Zubair Ibrahim Oyiwe stepped up to replace him as Chairman.
Hon. Isah Suleiman Zonal Chairman East, Comrade Suberu Momoh Jimoh Ododo SDP Chairman Ajaokuta LG, Hon. Wallah Peter Bassa LG Chairman, Hon. Samuel Ajayi from West, Hon. Johnson Ogbaje Ibaji LG Chairman and Pastor David Chubiyojo Musa the State Secretary of SDP among other Speakers appreciated the outgoing Chairman though in absential for his great contributions to the growth of SDP Kogi State in his Three (3) years in office.
In their remarks they wished Alh. Moukter Atimah well in his political endeavors after now.
Hon. Zubair Ibrahim Oyiwe the new State Chairman was congratulated and advised to work with the templates of the outgoing Chairman as the party strategieses for absolute victory in the forth-coming general elections.
The incoming Chairman in his address thanked his Zonal stakeholders for the opportunity given to him to serve. He commended the outgoing Chairman and tagged him “The dogged and focused Boss”.
He promised the entire SDP Kogi State Chapter that he will try his best to take the party to a greater height.
In his remarks, he charged the Kogi State SDP family to ” remain undistracted as we build a synergy to get into power at all levels in the forth coming general elections”.
