Kogi Reps,. Barr Shaba Ibrahim Gives Grant To 2500 Women, Youths, Warns Against Sale Of PVC.


The Federal Lawmaker, Representing  Lokoja/Kogi Koton-Karfe Constituency, Hon. Shaba Ibrahim has empowered Two thousand and five hundred women and Youths in the constituency to assist them in establishing their businesses and grow the existing ones.

This is as he warned the electorates not to sell their permanent Voters cards to some unscrupulous politicians offering financial inducement in exchange for the PVCs

The Reps member gave the warning at his empowerment ceremony held on Sunday in LoKoja.

According to the lawmaker “We have it on good authority that members of the opposition have been going around offering between N2,500 and N3,000 to purchase voters cards. I want to urge you to reject their offers outrightly because you are going to loose out at the end of the day.

“I want to urge you not to listen to the lies of other parties who have not got anything to offer. I want you to to ask yourselves wether  you are better off today than you were seven years ago? The answer is simply no. You have tested two options and today, you know which is better” He advised.

Hon. Shaba Ibrahim who was represented by Dr Shehu Idris said  the empowerment program which would be in phases was targeted at over 5,000 constituents and  urged those not captured this time to be patient as they would be captured in the next batch.

He described PDP as the only party that has genuine love for the welfare of the people and should be supported at the next general Election.

The highlights of the empowerment program was the distribution of tickets to be tendered at a designated place where cash would be given to support those already in business or for those not yet in business to establish business of their choice.
