Kogi PDP Ward Congress; Omala Stakeholders Commends Former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris.


 

.. As Former Govenor Hail Party Leaders Over Peaceful Exercise In Kogi.

PDP Stakeholders In Omala local government has commended the leadership roles of former Kogi Governor ,Alhaji Ibrahim Idris towards the conduct of the weekend ward congress in the local government.

The stakeholders from the eleven wards along with the congress committee members said the spirit of sportsmanship that ensured free,fair and acceptable congress preached by the former Govenor will repositioned the party to playing opposition roles in the area.

According to the leaders,this positive developement will leverage on the yearnings for good leadership both at the local government areas and state level in the 2023 general elections.

They saluted the courage of the congress committee for adopting transparent and democratic process towards the successful local government congress.

Former Kogi Governor,Alhaji Ibrahim Idris in his reaction lauded the spirit of give and take that heralded the congress, not only in Omala, but across the state.

He congratulated PDP in Kogi state for a peaceful and orderly conduct of the ward congress ,stating the party readiness to approach the 2023 election with sane democratic norms.

Former Kogi Governor urged the party to sustain similar spirit in the forthcoming local government/ state congress,as well as 2023 general elections.

He said democracy is a game of disagreements and agreements,geared towards sustaining the spirit of it’s practise to ensure good governance.

The Congress Committee members were all present consisting of Hon. Aminu Atabo, Amb. Isaac Onuh, Hon. Aku, Barr. Muhammed, Alh. Noah Awodi, Shittu Haruna and Emma Bala Oji’Aji all the Security agencies (Police, Civil Defense, DSS, INEC,vigilantee group and other PDP Chieftains all participated in the exercise.

The returning officer for Omala local government urged other local government areas to take cue from Omala local government.
