Kogi PDP Chairman Attributes Governance Failure to Lack of Integrity, Strong Leadership.
The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo, has blamed the country’s governance failure on the lack of integrity and strong leadership.
Gambo emphasized that integrity and leadership are intertwined, and Nigeria needs strong leadership and followership to reap the benefits of democracy.
Gambo urged the judiciary to maintain its integrity, stating that states with governors of integrity will make significant progress.
He called for justice, integrity, and job creation for the state’s youth, acknowledging Governor Ododo’s efforts in fighting insecurity. The PDP chairman assured citizens that the party would collaborate with the government to ensure peace and security, allowing them to “sleep with their two eyes closed”.
Gambo praised Governor Ododo for his integrity but warned that a leader without integrity would be corrupt and disregard the rule of law.
He announced that the PDP is poised to take over Lugard House in 2027, describing those involved in banditry and kidnapping as lacking integrity
The Chairman appealed to the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) to ensure the PDP’s participation in the forthcoming local government election and conduct a free and fair election.
He invited former party members to return, emphasizing that the PDP’s leadership is now inclusive and integrity-driven.
