The Kogi State Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Comr. Ben Jerry says following the lingering crisis in some Local Government Chapters of the Council ahead the forthcoming election, a stand has been taken to set up a 3 man review committee that would conduct a free and fair election in those Local Government Areas.
Comr. Ben Jerry, made the disclosure in a statement issued to Newsmen in Lokoja today, said Idah, Ibaji, and some of the crisis Local Government Areas in Kogi West Senatorial District.
The statement said the review committee will be charged to go round and conduct the election in the affected areas, called for calm and for all issues to be pending.
The State Chairman urge the youths to stop writing and posting anything abusive on the social media against each other going forward.
The statement said sanction await anyone found culpable henceforth pointing out that the supremacy of the NYCN constitution will be followed to the later.
The State Chairman called for halt on all actions at the crisis Local Government Chapters, pointing out that all necessary action will be taken to ensure a free and fair election.
The Chairman said in any contest there is bound to be only one a winner, but said there shouldn’t be crisis at the Chapters, pointing out that efforts to have an all encompassing meeting is on to ensure for the peaceful conduct of the forthcoming Election.
