Kogi NUT Chairman Says Teachers Will Decide Who Emerges In 2023


 

… Charge Teachers to ensure collection of their PVCs

Teachers in Kogi State have been charged to go collect their Permanent Voters Cards ahead the general election as that would enable them decide who emerge as leader and representatives of the people in the forthcoming general elections in the Country and the State in particular.

The State Chairman, Nigeria Union of Teachers, Comr. Joel Salifu, gave the charge in a chat with Newsmen, disclosed that teachers in the State are now more than ever before for the 2023 election.

The NUT Chairman said the only way Teachers can decide their fate and ensure better and improved working conditions is for them to ensure that they collect their PVCs.

While pointing out that all serving and retired Teachers in the State will use there population to decide the 2023 election, advised teachers who are yet to collect their PVCs to do so with the opportunity presented by the INEC for PVC collection.

In his words, ” We will decide who come to serve and lead us in the State”

” We have the numbers. The experience we have gone through has adequately prepared us to decide who will lead us in the State in 2023 particularly with our population”.

While he reiterated that Teachers in the State remain loyal to Gov. Yahaya Bello, Comr. Joel Salifu however said Teachers are bent on deciding who comes after Gov. Bello with the view to serving ” the interest of Teachers adequately”.

The NUT Chairman explained that 2023 remains a defining moments for Teachers in the State having gone through a whole lot of challenges, reason why they must ensure that they have their PVCs.

He urged the Teachers to do the needful, ensure that they have their PVCs, charged those who are yet to collect their PVCs to go to there Wards and Polling units to ensure that they have their PVCs, pointing out that the voices of Teachers in the State would be heard loud and clear using the 2023 general election.
