Credentials Committee for the Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, has been constituted with a charged to be impartial in the discharge of their duties.
The State Chairman of the NUJ, Alhaji Adeiza Momohjimoh gave the charge while Inaugurating the Committee at the Press Center, Lokoja .
Alhaji Adeiza said the Committee is expected to carry out the assignment inline with the Union’s constitution to achieve set goals.
He assured members of the support of the Executive to diligently conduct a free, fair and credible election in a conducive environment.
The State NUJ Chairman commended members of the Committee for accepting to serve.
Responding, the Chairman of the Credentials Committee, Mr Itopa Yusuf expressed appreciation to the Council for finding members worthy of the responsibility bestowed on them
Mr Itopa who promised on behalf of the Committee to be thorough, just, and fair in the discharge of the assignment called on would be aspirants to get their credentials in order for proper screening as enshrined in the Union’s constitution.
The Credentials Committee has Mr Itopa Yusuf as Chairman, Onalo Mamodu as Secretary and Jumoke Ajani as member.
It would be recalled that the Credentials Committee was nominated and approved by the Congress of the NUJ to put machinery in motion for the conduct of the Union’s State Council Election.
