Kogi NUJ Chairman Visits Shregaf Radiovision FM 93.7 Lokoja.


 

Seeks More Private Partnership in Establishing Broadcast Stations.

The Kogi State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comr. Adeiza Momohjimoh has called on indigenes of the State to invest in the broadcast industry as a way of meaningfully engaging teeming talented youths from the State.

 

Comr. Adeiza made the call when he paid a scheduled visit to Shregaf Radiovision, a private online radio station owned by Mr. Ahmed Shaba.

 

Shregaf Radiovision is an Online broadcasting Radio Station operating on FM 93.7, has a 200 metres reach for residents living around Hajia K plaza, located around Zenith bank junction to the Post Office.

The NUJ Chairman lamented that aside one Federal Radio, the State and three private Radio stations in the State capital and Central Senatorial District, lamented that with the vast population of Kogi East Senatorial District, the area lacks a radio station.

The NUJ Chairman underscored the importance of information to the society, insisting that with more Radio Stations, the people would be better informed and check misinformation.

Comr. Adeiza lamented that for a State that is bordered by ten states, lamented that it has fewer presence of radio stations, expressed dismay that the State owned station has been down for almost a year now, passionately appealed to the State Government to reawaken the radio station by providing the spoilt Transmitter.

The NUJ Chairman described Kogi State as having the finest broadcasters in the country, said establishing radio stations would not only provide jobs, it would help engage the state teeming talent who want to go into broadcast.

Comr. Adeiza lauded, praised and commended the singular efforts to establish a private online radio station in the State, urged other investors and we’ll meaning individuals to come and establish broadcast stations in the State.

Comr. Adeiza described the establishment of Radio Stations by Ahmed Shaba, Chief Executive Officer, Shregaf radiovision as the best way to gainfully empower youths and provide employment opportunities, praised his resilient spirit to be outstanding
.

The NUJ Chairman explained that he is not surprised at the berth of Shregaf radiovision in Lokoja, described the CEO, Ahmed Shaba as a seasoned broadcast and an erudite On Air Personality of repute.

The NUJ Chairman assured Shregaf radiovision of the support of the Union in ensuring that the dream of the Radio Station is realized, urged him not to be discouraged by the initial challenges he may encounter.

Earlier in an opening remarks, Ahmed Shaba, Chief Executive Officer of Shregaf radiovision 93.7 Lokoja, said he felt Challenged by the fact that with the location of the State, lamented that it has only few private stations.

He called on well meaning individuals from the State to come home and invest in the broadcast industry, described radio business as lucrative and more rewarding than the usual building of houses, hotels and filling station.

He added that the abundant of broadcast talents in the State seeking where to ply there trade informed his establishing the radio station, solicited the support of private partnership in establishing broadcast stations in the State.
