Kogi State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Onuh Edoka has described the death of Mrs Lucy Damian, a senior Editorial Staff of Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation as a great loss.
Comrade Edoka who made the remark during a condolence visit to the family in Lokoja, described the late veteran journalist as one who made positive impact in her chosen journalism career.
He noted that as an ex-officio of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Mrs Lucy Damian stood out among her equals even within the labour cycle.
Comrade Edoka sympathized with the immediate family, the state Broadcasting Corporation, the NUJ in the state and the organized labour over the death of the veteran journalist.
The NLC Chairman added the Mr Lucy Damian will continue to be remembered considering her peaceful disposition in all human endeavour, adding that God will grant her soul eternal rest.
Comrade Edoka urged the family to be consoled with the fact that she played her part well while alive and advised the living to always remember their last days on earth.
