Kogi Monarch Debeads Oche-Achadu Agbokete Community, Urges Regent to Restore Peace, Unity

His Royal Highness, Achadu Oko-Ata and Prime Minister Igala Kingdom (Anu), Alhaji Ali Yusuf Ameadaji 111, has debeaded Chief Ameh Adaji Goodeligh as Oche Achadu, Agbokete Community in Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area of Kogi state.

According to the royal father, from investigation, Chief Ameh Adaji Goodeligh, was not the recommended choice of the three ruling houses of Agbokete Community comprising of 1. Oche Kekele 2. Oche Inna and Oche Be.

Secondly Chief Ameh Adaji Goodeligh was not carrying the elders along in the scheme of things and thirdly he was not paying tribute to His Royal Highness Achadu Oko-Ata for years.

Following this development, His Royal Highness Achadu Oko-Ata has appointed Mr. Adejoh Samson Alfa as a Regent Oche Achadu Agbokete with an appeal to him to restore peace and unity among the people of the community pending the appointment of a substantive Chief.

The Monarch while receiving the Regent, Elders and Option Leaders on a Thank-You-Visit at his Palace in Idah, the traditional home of the Igala Kingdom on Tuesday, called for the complement of government’s efforts to tackle insecurity across the country.

The Monarch who decried the alarming cases of insecurity ranging from kidnapping, robberies and killings all over Nigeria, affirmed that traditional rulers have a pivotal role to play in complementing government’s task to end insecurity bedeilving the nation.

“The impact of traditional rulers as grassroots administrators and Community mobilizers will surely assist government in its ques to tackle insecurity headlong and end the trend”

He also called on spirited and meaningful individuals not to relent in contributing towards the development of their father land interns of self-help projects execution and security of lives and property of the people.

Earlier, the Regent Oche Achadu Agbokete Community, Mr. Adejoh Samson Alfa had informed His Royal Highness, Achadu Oko-Ata that they were in his Palace to appreciate him for his appointment.

He promised to live up expectations in the administration of the community pending the appointment of a substantive Chief.
