An unidentified man, sick and was being rushed to the hospital was said to have died at the Ganaja gridlock in Lokoja.
The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello had paid a scheduled visit to inspect ongoing work at the Ganaja flyover bridge and other projects ongoing in the State.
Unfortunately, the stoppage at the Ganaja Junction, led to a gridlock as the Junction is an intersection, linking the East, South to the North.
The gridlock as at press time has lasted for five hours as no vehicular movement, with even the Popular Okada and Keke made to remain at spots for several hours.
The unidentified man who was sick and was been rushed to the hospital by family members died in the car owing to suffocation.
The untold hardship faced by the citizens today was described as unprecedented as pupils and students are still trapped in the gridlock.
